Accomplished financial professional Jay Zises is the founder and initial investor of Esquire Bank, as well as co-founder and chairman of A Cap, Inc., in New York. An active philanthropist, Jay Zises has chaired the American Israel Education Fund since its inception in the 1980s, and was previously chair of American Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF).

Established in 1981 by a group of Holocaust survivors, the FIDF works to support the soldiers who protect Israel and Jews worldwide. The organization’s DIGNITY Program seeks to alleviate the financial burdens of soldiers by offering them emergency aid in the form of basic necessities including furniture, appliances, and other household items. Additionally, the program offers vouchers that can be used year-round at numerous supermarkets and stores throughout Israel, plus special gift vouchers for Rosh Hashanah and Passover. For soldiers in extreme need, the DIGNITY Program offers direct monetary assistance through special grants of $275 to $550 for each year of military service.
